Streaming is now mainstream in Canada.

 

Our recent study of Canadian streaming behaviour illustrates why and how people stream, and what this means for advertisers.

 

Highlights from this study: 

 

  • 20% of Canadians that have cable/satellite have reduced their package in the past year

 

  • A third (32%) are in the 18-34 age bracket, and almost half of that bracket  (44%) are “cord-cutters” or “cord-nevers”

 

  • 47% of Canadian streamers watch at least one free (ad-supported) service
